Activities

I've finished my Bachelor of Journalism degree at Rhodes University in 2006, specialising in Writing and Editing. It was a packed four year degree and some of my activities included serving on the SRC (student politics) on a local (2003/4) and national level (2004/5). I also went to the Netherlands in 2005 on exchange and served in leadership positions in my Hall (Hall senior student in 2005 and Sub-warden in 2006).

In 2006 I got a bursary from News24.com to complete my fourth year, which was a god-send as I was running out of ideas for paying for my degree. I now work for the company in Green Point, Cape Town. I write articles for the site, as well as edit content for them. I've been working here since February 2007.

I am rather new to Cape Town, having lived mostly in Pretoria and then Grahamstown. I'm still settling into the city but I hope to get increasingly involved in community and developmental work.

I (try to) play guitar, love hiking, reading and travelling.
